The drawback to this is that sometimes the render is not exactly correct so you do sacrifice a bit of realism for speed. The GPU is great because you can get out a render much quicker than the CPU render. If you have utilised software like 3ds Max or Lumion, you will know that you can do both renders on the CPU as well as the GPU. Be careful when rendering in the viewport as if you minimise Inventor or move the model with your mouse you will end up starting the render again. In Inventor Studion you can render both stills and animations whereas in the viewport, you can only render still. The first is the traditional Inventor Studio routine and the second in viewport rendering using the raytrace function. There are 2 different ways to create a rendered image in Inventor. Inventor has gone through many journeys where it comes to rendering. There are many features that have enhanced and the one I want to focus on in this blog is the rendering. It looks fantastic and I seeing this has made me excited for the other new features that I might find inside. Inventor 2023 has landed and the first thing we noticed is that it comes with a brand new logo.
